JD Photography is located in South Lyon, Michigan, and are able to travel anywhere in the continental United States to photograph your wedding or special event. Additional travel and lodging expenses may apply. We consider any event within a 100 mile radius of South Lyon, Michigan a local event, so travel expenses do not apply. We also consider a radius of 100 miles to Gaylord, Michigan a "local" event and are able to waive those travel expenses. This also applies to all events and portrait sessions.
I enjoy the challenge of working outdoors, and of using many different locations and backgrounds for photographs. If a more formal setting is preferred, photos can be taken wherever I can set up a studio setting. All of your images are photographed using digital format professional cameras. If you prefer film, a Hasselblad medium format camera will be used, however, processig fees and film are prohibitively expensive and will be reflected in the cost of your package.
To begin, we will conduct an informal interview to identify your specific requirements. Every couple or event host has a unique perspective. Some prefer the pastoral look - a park as their ladscape. Others prefer an urban or even an industrial background. Still others may see themselves in a formal garden, or at a race track, or skating rink. It is very important that we identify exactly how to make your wedding or special event photoraphs a record of your "once in a lifetime" day.
